WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER IS BAD ON THE SCHEDULED FLIGHT DATE?

We prioritize safety and compliance. If weather conditions, FAA restrictions, or any other safety concerns prevent the flight, we will reschedule at the earliest available opportunity at no additional charge.

WHAT FILE FORMATS WILL I RECEIVE?

All files will be delivered digitally via secure download. Deliverables will be provided in industry-standard file formats such as:

  • Orthomosaic Maps: GeoTIFF, JPEG, or PDF
  • Topographic Data: DXF, LAS, or CSV
IS TRAVEL INCLUDED IN THE SERVICE COST?

Yes, travel within 15 miles of San Antonio, TX is included. For locations beyond this, additional travel fees will be quoted based on distance.

What are my responsibilities as a client?

As a client, you are responsible for:


  • Providing accurate property details, including any special boundaries.
  • Granting necessary permissions for drone operations on private property (this may include written authorization from the property owner).
  • Ensuring safe site access for the drone pilot.
  • Disclosing any hazardous conditions (e.g., power lines, wildlife, construction zones) before the flight.
Do I need FAA approval for drone flights?

In some cases, yes. If your property is located near an airport, military base, or other restricted airspace, FAA approval may be required. Alta Terra Drone Solutions will handle this process for you, but additional lead time may be necessary.

What are the costs and payment terms?

Service Fee: Pricing is provided in your custom quote.

Deposit: 50% due at contract signing.

Final Payment: Due upon delivery of final mapping files.

How much lead time is required to schedule a flight?
  • Standard lead time: Minimum 48 hours’ notice is required.
  • Restricted airspace flights: Flights requiring FAA special authorization may need additional time to process approvals.
